IPX Brooklyn is set to be the largest dedicated indoor pickleball facility in New York City. With 13 professional courts, a dedicated gym area, shower facilities, a party/event area, and a 3rd-party vendor service space, we aim to be the premier destination for pickleball enthusiasts in New York City. Our philosophy is simple: work, play, chill — a 24/7 home for NYC pickleballers, all year round. Affiliate with the successful IPX pickleball brand with locations in Texas and California, we are looking for passionate, community-driven people to join our team and help us build something the city has never seen before.

 

About the Role

As a Membership Specialist, you are the face of IPX. You are the first person our members see when they walk through the door and the reason they leave with a smile. This role is perfect for someone with a background in hospitality, fitness, or customer service who thrives in a fast-paced, social environment and genuinely loves connecting with people — or simply someone who loves pickleball and wants to be at the center of it every day.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Be the Welcome: Greet every member and guest with enthusiasm, manage check-ins efficiently, and guide new players through the facility so they feel comfortable and excited from their very first visit.
  • Own the Floor: Maintain on-court order and manage player rotations during open play, ensuring a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for everyone on the courts at all times.
  • Represent the Brand: Serve as a knowledgeable resource on all IPX offerings — memberships, court bookings, clinics, leagues, and merchandise — and proactively assist members with purchases and sign-ups.
  • Keep the Club Sharp: Ensure the front desk, lobby, and common areas are always clean, organized, and presented to the highest standard. Perform light housekeeping duties as part of the daily routine.
  • Stay Connected: Act as the on-site link between members and our remote management team, communicating daily updates, member feedback, and operational needs through digital tools.
  • Handle Transactions: Confidently manage point-of-sale operations for memberships, court time, retail, and event registrations.

 

Who You Are

You have 1–2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role — hospitality, fitness, retail, or similar. You are organized, energetic, and genuinely enjoy making people feel welcome. You are a reliable team player who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and does not need to be micromanaged. Comfort with technology is a must. Flexible availability including evenings and weekends is required. A love of pickleball or sports is a big plus — but your attitude and work ethic matter most.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
