IPX Brooklyn is set to be the largest dedicated indoor pickleball facility in New York City. With 13 professional courts, a dedicated gym area, shower facilities, a party/event area, and a 3rd-party vendor service space, we aim to be the premier destination for pickleball enthusiasts in New York City. Our philosophy is simple: work, play, chill — a 24/7 home for NYC pickleballers, all year round. Affiliate with the successful IPX pickleball brand with locations in Texas and California, we are looking for passionate, community-driven people to join our team and help us build something the city has never seen before.
Position Overview: The Pickleball Coach is a vital, on-court leader responsible for delivering a premium instructional experience to our members. Your core focus is on player development and engagement—providing high-quality coaching that helps players of all skill levels improve their game and deepen their love for the sport. You will be a key brand ambassador for IPX Brooklyn, fostering a positive, inclusive, and energetic environment on the courts. This role requires technical skill, a passion for teaching, and strong interpersonal abilities to connect with our diverse community.
Key Responsibilities: As a Pickleball Coach, you will provide high-quality pickleball coaching for players of all skill levels, from first-timers to advanced competitors. You will develop and implement effective training programs tailored to the needs of your students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages skill development and enjoyment of the sport. You will be expected to evaluate player progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance. In addition to your instructional duties, you will facilitate open plays, leagues, and tournaments as needed, always representing the IPX Brooklyn brand in a professional and consistent manner.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a deep passion for pickleball and a strong playing background. A minimum of 1-2 years of pickleball coaching experience is required, with a current PPR or IPTPA certification strongly preferred. We are looking for individuals with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of players. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with bright energy, a collaborative spirit, and a drive for excellence and leadership on and off the court. Experience in event coordination or pickleball programming is a bonus.
