Coach Paul

Paul brings a lifelong passion for racquet sports to the pickleball court. He began playing tennis in early childhood, where he quickly developed exceptional hand-eye coordination, footwork, and a deep understanding of strategy. Throughout his tennis career, Paul earned multiple awards and competitive recognitions, reflecting both his talent and dedication to continuous improvement. Paul’s journey in racquet sports is rooted not only in athletic excellence but in a deep desire to Glorify God through every game and lesson.

After years of competing, Paul transitioned into coaching and spent five years training players of all ages and skill levels. During this time, he built a reputation for being a patient, knowledgeable, and motivating coach who focuses not only on technical development but also on confidence, discipline, and love for the game. His coaching style emphasizes strong fundamentals, footwork, shot selection, placement and confidence building while creating a positive and encouraging learning environment. Paul believes every player learns differently and takes pride in adapting his coaching to meet each individual’s goals. His approach emphasized character, humility, perseverance, gratitude and recognizing that every ability is a gift from God .

Two years ago, Paul discovered pickleball and it immediately reignited his competitive spirit. Starting at the 3.5 level, he progressed rapidly through consistent training, match play, and a deep study of the sport’s unique strategies. Within a short span of time, Paul rapidly advanced to the 4.5 level, demonstrating his ability to adapt elite tennis fundamentals into high-level pickleball performance. His ascent was marked by consistent tournament success, including multiple Triple Crowns and numerous podium finishes and awards. Paul has competed and won at both local tournaments and Professional Pickleball Association ( PPA) events, proving his ability to perform at a high level under pressure and against elite competition. His game is defined by a positive attitude, smart shot selection, strong court awareness, precise dinking and controlled aggression at the net. His style of play reflects patience, strategic thinking and respect for opponents, always remembering that the ultimate victory is honoring the man above.

Paul’s mission is to grow the game of pickleball by developing confident, skilled, and respectful players. He aims to make learning fun, structured, and purposeful while helping athletes unlock their full potential both on and off the court. He believes that showing integrity in every competition, grace in both wins and losses and encouragement toward teammates and opponents are vital in the world of pickleball or any other sports.

Paul believes that pickleball is more than just a sport—it’s a community, a lifestyle, and an opportunity for personal growth. His commitment to excellence, combined with his supportive coaching style, makes him a trusted mentor for players looking to improve their game and enjoy every step of the journey.

Coach Burma

I am from the country of Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. I was a nationally ranked #1 player from 1986-88. And in 1988, I came to the United States on a tennis scholarship to a Division 1 tennis program in Florida to Stetson University and I played nationally afterwards on USTA for many years. I was introduced to pickleball in 2017, and I started playing competitively in 2018. I now play in the senior professional league and keep a DUPR rating between 4.9-5.2. I taught tennis with a USPTA certification for over 2 decades and taught many junior and camp tennis. As much as I was passionate about tennis, I have now transferred that passion for pickleball and I love teaching. I am certified to teach Pickleball internationally with IFP and I am also a certified evaluator, trained and developed to certify pickleball instructors. I am a sponsored senior pro and I hold gold, silver and bronze medals in the U.S Open from 2018 to 2022. I have competed in National tournaments and I received a gold medal in the 6.0 division in 2024 along with silver and bronze medals. In 2025 I was drafted into a senior professional pickleball league called NPL and played on the Seattle Tsunami team and we finished the season in first place.

Coach Jawknee

A “tinkerer” at heart with a tennis background from over 20 years ago in high school, Jawknee brings a unique, analytical mindset to the court. His pickleball journey has been a rapid ascent—from picking up a paddle 2.5 years ago to becoming a multi-time 4.0+ tournament medalist, a brand ambassador, and even a pickleball entrepreneur setting up courts at concerts and events to help spread game of pickleball to newer audiences.

Now a PPR Level 1 Certified Professional, Jawknee specializes in intermediate and advanced doubles tactics. Rather than just teaching an individual shot he builds the context around the shot. He breaks down the “why” behind it, building custom progressions that translate directly to game points. His goal is to help you become the partner everyone wants on their side by mastering court IQ over brute force.

His philosophy is simple: Better decisions beat harder shots.
